Tenggol Island lies not far from the East Coast Mainland as part of a group of islands within the southern regions of the Terengganu Marine Park. It is a 45 minutes boat-ride from Kuala Dungun Jetty. Tenggol Island or popular as “Mini Sipadan” was cited as “The Best Diving in Peninsular Malaysia” in Asian Diver Magazine Annual Edition. Divers will enjoy the diving adventures ranging from deep diving, wreck diving and drift diving
suitable for open water to experienced diver. Tenggol Island is also famous dive destination for underwater photographer of macro. For example heaven of nudibranch, shrimp, blenny, etc and wide angle photography (wreck, sea fan, coral). It is also popular as a “favorite home” for whale sharks. Look forward for Whale Shark season on July – October. Dive season in Tenggol is open on March – October.
