Boutique Beach is located on Dhigurah which is in the famous whale shark area in the south Ari Atoll. The British Whale Shark conservation group, who are also based on Dhigurah, have recorded 645 whale sharks in our area, of which only 8 are female. Average length is 5.92m which makes them “teenagers”. The whale sharks are there all year around, but some weather conditions makes them harder to spot. Mantas regularly feed in our lagoon as well as the famous cleaning station at Rangali which within easy reach.

BB Dive, our PADI 5* dive base has three Padi professionals. Our Base Leader is Danish with many dives and courses instructed here in the Maldives as well as Tanzania and Vietnam. Our Swiss Instructor speak 4 European languages and has many dives and courses logged in Indonesia as well us here in Maldives. Our local Divemaster knows the waters around Dhigurah intimately and is one of the best spotters of small critters in the area. We have a Nitrox compressor so can offer divers Enriched Air courses and the benefit of diving on Nitrox should they want to.

We have a 55’ fibreglass dhoni as well as a speedboat for longer trips and our Dive boat Captain has over 25 years spotting whale sharks in this area and knows exactly where to drop divers in our thila (pinnacle) area depending on the current. We operate small groups of 4 divers per guide and ensure that our guests see all the best our area has to offer both large and small!

There are 15 Pinnacles or Thilas in between Dhigurah and the next island. The famous Kudarah Thila is just 10 minutes away. Our PADI Dive Team will be happy to show you the best diving in the Maldives
