Eel Garden
Eel Garden is a unique dive site in Dahab named after the colony of garden eels. they inhabit the sandy bottom at around 20 meters. Divers can observe these eels swaying in the current, along with a variety of other marine life. Such as rays, triggerfish, and butterflyfish. The site also features beautiful coral formations and is suitable for all levels of divers. The gentle current and good visibility make it a relaxing and enjoyable dive.
The entry to Eel Garden is a small underwater channel accessed after 3 minutes walk or swim above the reef plate. The 15 metre-long channel is gorgeous and sometimes hosts schools of colourful glassfish. On your way back at around 5 and 10m you will see healthy, wide range variety of both soft and hard corals and look out here for the rare sea grass ghost pipe-fish. Exit the channel and dive down the slope before leaving the coral to your left and continuing the dive north through a garden of eels and pufferfish. Continue northward, then turn around and follow the reef wall to your right until you reach the entrance channel.
