Gamul Soraya is a captivating dive site located approximately 30 minutes by boat from Safaga, Egypt, in the Red Sea. Renowned for its vibrant marine life and stunning coral formations, it offers an enriching experience for divers of all levels

Dive Site Overview

• Topography: Gamul Soraya features a small, round-shaped reef accompanied by several coral pinnacles, known as ergs. The main reef descends to about 14 meters, while the southern side reaches depths up to 20 meters. The site is characterized by a sandy bottom interspersed with coral structures, creating an ideal habitat for diverse marine species

• Conditions: The site typically experiences minimal current, making it suitable for both novice and experienced divers. However, due to its exposure, strong winds can occasionally affect accessibility . Visibility ranges between 15 to 30 meters, offering clear views of the underwater scenery .

• Marine Life

  Divers at Gamul Soraya can encounter a rich array of marine life, including:

•           Eagle rays, tuna, barracudas, and Napoleon wrasse

• • Scorpionfish, yellowfin goatfish, and sweetlips

  • Pennant coralfish, speckled butterflyfish, and bannerfish
