Shaab Sheer Soraya is a beautiful and relatively shallow dive site in the Safaga area of Egypt’s Red Sea. Located south of the larger Shaab Sheer reef, the site offers a relaxed combination of coral formations, sandy areas and small caves and overhangs waiting to be explored.

With depths reaching approximately 17–18 metres, Shaab Sheer Soraya is well suited to relaxed recreational diving. The reef is home to a variety of hard corals and typical Red Sea marine life, making it an enjoyable site for divers who like to take their time exploring the reef.

Look closely between the corals and around the sandy bottom for moray eels, scorpionfish, nudibranchs and blue-spotted rays. Pufferfish and numerous colorful reef fish can also be encountered around the coral formations.

The relatively shallow profile provides plenty of time to explore the reef and makes Shaab Sheer Soraya particularly enjoyable for reef diving and underwater photography.
