Shaab Sheer

Shaab Sheer, also known as Hyndeman Reef, is a renowned dive site near Safaga, Egypt, in the Red Sea. This boomerang-shaped reef stretches over 1 to 2 kilometers and offers a diverse underwater experience suitable for divers of all level

Notable Dive Areas

  • Northern Plateau: A favorite for spotting larger fish, this area features a drop-off and is accessible via a channel leading to a vast coral garden.

  • East Side: Known for its brain coral garden and intricate cave systems, offering a unique underwater landscape.

  • West Side: Features a small wreck and is suitable for exploring during calm weather conditions

Diving Conditions

  • Visibility: Typically ranges from 15 to 30 meters.

  • Currents: Can vary; the northern and western sides may experience stronger currents, making them ideal for drift dives.

  • Temperature: Water temperatures generally range between 23°C and 26°C.
