The Dominican Republic is a country located on the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles archipelago of the Caribbean region.

The Dominican Republic is a lessor known dive destinations with outstanding diving from both the north and south coast. Underwater environments in the Dominican Republic include mangrove forests, deep wrecks and a vast reef structure featuring cavernous swim-throughs and extensive coral formations. Many of the dive sites are suitable to beginners.
